Free plugin

What the free plugin does

HULO Business Credit lets your business customers buy now and pay later on invoice. It works on any WordPress site; with WooCommerce it also adds Pay on account at checkout.

You open a credit account for a WordPress user (or approve their application), with a credit limit and payment terms. You raise invoices for them — lines, purchase order, terms — and they count against the limit. Customers see their account, invoices, payments and statements on a page of your site, and can pay an invoice online through HULO Payments. When the money arrives by bank transfer, cheque or any other way, you record it and the plugin allocates it to the oldest invoices first.

  • Credit accounts for WordPress users — limit, net terms, grace days, purchase-order requirement, company and VAT details, billing e-mail. Permanent and temporary limit changes with a full history and audit log.
  • Invoices — raised by you with lines, PO and terms, numbered INV-000042, due date = issue date + terms, open / part paid / paid / overdue / written off / void. They count against the credit limit; an account on hold or over its limit is refused unless you override it.
  • Settlements and allocation — record payments oldest-due-first or against a chosen invoice; overpayments are held as funds and settle the next invoice automatically. Refund a settlement, raise a credit note, void or write off an invoice, add a fee.
  • Prepaid funds — record a deposit; funds count towards the available credit.
  • Statements — opening balance, running lines, closing balance and aging for any period, in the admin and on the customer's account page (with a printable page).
  • Customer account page — the [hulo_business_credit] shortcode or the "HULO business credit account" block (a "Credit account" page is created on activation): credit available, invoices with their lines, payments, statement.
  • Online payment — with the free HULO Payments plugin installed, customers pay an invoice from its page and you can send a pay link; the invoice is settled the moment the payment succeeds.
  • Company accounts — add colleagues as buyers or viewers.
  • Applications — customers apply from the account page; you approve with a limit and terms, or reject with a note.
  • Daily pass — marks overdue invoices, expires temporary limits, flags accounts due a credit review and applies held funds. Send a payment reminder from any invoice with one click.
  • Admin overview under the HULO menu — exposure, overdue, due in 7 days, funds held, aging and top exposures.

With WooCommerce it also adds Pay on account at checkout (classic and Checkout block, with a purchase order field), an invoice for every order paid on account, WooCommerce refunds as credit notes, invoice details on the order screens and e-mails, and My Account → Business credit.

Pro

Pro add-on

Business Credit Pro

Needs the free HULO Business Credit plugin. Works on any WordPress site; with WooCommerce the reward points also work on orders and at checkout. Every install starts with a 14-day evaluation with every feature on and no card; then subscribe for a licence. When the licence lapses, settings and data are kept and the Pro behaviour pauses.

  • Auto-approval — approve storefront applications on the spot for customers with enough paid orders and spend (optionally a company number), capped at a limit you set.
  • Invitations — offer a business an account on pre-agreed terms; a signed link, a masked public view, an active account the moment they sign in and accept.
  • Reminder schedule — reminders before, on and after the due date; never a burst after downtime.
  • Late fees and auto-suspend — a monthly percentage on overdue balances, and automatic suspension past a threshold.
  • Statement e-mails — last month’s statement to every account with activity, once a month.
  • Online payment extras — one HULO Payments link for several invoices, and prepaid top-ups held as funds.
  • Payment plans — split an invoice into instalments; reminders follow the next instalment and no late fee accrues while the plan is kept. Customers can ask for one.
  • Company members from the account page — the account holder adds and removes colleagues.
  • Reward points — points when invoices are paid (and on WooCommerce orders), tiers, redeemed against an invoice (and at the WooCommerce checkout), expiry, adjustments.
  • CSV exports and the weekly report.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Do I need WooCommerce?

No. Accounts, invoices, statements, settlements and the customer account page all work on plain WordPress. WooCommerce adds Pay on account at checkout.

How do customers pay?

By your remittance instructions (bank transfer and so on) — you record the payment — or online through HULO Payments, which settles the invoice automatically.

Can a customer with an overdue invoice still buy on account?

Not on account — the overdue hold blocks new invoices and on-account orders until the invoice is settled or written off. You can still raise an invoice on purpose with the override.

Does it send data anywhere?

No. The plugin makes no external requests. Online payments are handled by HULO Payments if you install it.
